Michèle herself grew up in a tiny hamlet in Switzerland but recently moved closer to Zurich – the “secret capital” of Switzerland. where she works full-time as a graphic designer for an advertising agency to finance her obsession for high-cost designer shoes. As a high-powered Style addict, she felt the strong urge of building up her own little business besides her daily work as a graphic designer to spice up her business life with some more variety and above all with more Style related content.
With all the passion and effort she put into the blog, she quickly caught the interest of many well known brands ranging from high street to high Style. Hermès, Swarovski, Diesel, Gant or Adidas are just a few of the partners she has already collaborated with. In early 2014, Michèle brought out her own jewelry line featuring the tiny heart – her design mark that remained since the blog started in 2010 – in collaboration with Maggie Fine Jewelry a jewelry designer based in New York.
When I arrived backstage at Roksanda I was pretty amazed how calm everyone was (or pretended to be) and took the chance to grab James Pecis, lead stylist of the Dyson team, for a couple of questions on the subject of hair. The hairstyle for the Roksanda show was all about “Effortless Beauty”, thus the model’s hair was only styled slightly and seemingly without a big fuss. Pecis pointed out how important it is to have a great hair texture when the hairstyle is super simple and that’s one of the reasons why he didn’t want to work with any other hairdryer than the Dyson Supersonic for that show. Well, in general actually, because another thing he appreciates so much about the Supersonic is its very low noise level which allows him to communicate with his team even if there are 20 hairdryers in use in one tiny, tiny space. He gave me a mischievous smile while telling me that he’s actually trying hard to find a flaw to be able to provide a critical feedback to the Dyson HQ in order to improve the device – but he wasn’t successful to find any so far.
